MAINLAND PROBLEMS
Being transplanted multiple times throughout my life, due to being a member of a military family, I never have had a concrete footing on a national identity. I understood where I was born, and the placed I lived, but I never could relate to the national pride that others have had. Using the basic knowledge of where I was born, I will try to gain a sense of identity. With living in the desert for the longest portion of my life, I have obtained a second sense of identity. Is this what people have innately? Is it the act of basic rituals that bring out innate identity, or is it the presence over a long period of time with which identity amalgamates into a person?
