The in-between moments that are deemed insignificant make up most of our lives; they are significant. The silence between partners whilst they both take a bite to eat, the scuffle in the morning to go to the bathroom, the shuffle of mail being thrown on the counter after arriving home. These all hold the truth of what life is. When two people start interacting in these daily moments, a state of congruity evolves. Congruity amalgamates but so can friction develop. There is no middle ground and two people can stray towards paths of amalgamation or heavy friction. The path of friction appears identical to the path of congruity. An innocuous statement said by both persons perpetuates the life and is indicative of the path but no one can tell if it is genuine or denial until the last time it is said.
